Keeping children safe
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. Every camp, club and wraparound session is run to the standards Ofsted and our schools expect.

Our commitment
JC Sports believes every child has the right to be safe, happy and included. We are registered with Ofsted, and our most recent inspections graded us STRONG STANDARD in all areas.
We follow Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children and the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements, together with the procedures of the local safeguarding partnerships in Hampshire and West Sussex.
Safer people
- Safer recruitment for every role, including references and identity checks.
- Enhanced DBS checks for all staff before they work with children.
- Safeguarding training for all staff on induction and refreshed regularly, with paediatric first aid trained staff at every setting.
- A clear staff code of conduct, including our mobile phone, photography and social media rules.
Who leads safeguarding
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Jack Court, Founder and Director, supported by our Operations Manager and area managers, who act as deputy leads for their areas. Every session has a named lead on site.
If you're worried about a child
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
- At a session, speak to the session lead or any member of our staff straight away — they will pass it to our safeguarding lead the same day.
- At any other time, use our contact form and put “Safeguarding” at the start of your message. It is seen by our senior team.

Our policies
Our safeguarding and child protection policy, and our related policies (including allergies and medication, behaviour, lost and uncollected children, and whistleblowing), are reviewed every year and are available on request through our contact form. Schools we work with receive copies as part of our partnership.
